Aicent MMS Virtual Delivery Service Provides Seamless Global MMS Capabilities

New service poised to drive growth of MMS market for global mobile operators

San Jose, CA - November 29, 2005 -Aicent, Inc., a leading provider of mobile data network services and solutions for global mobile operators, today announced that eight leading operators across Europe and Asia Pacific have selected Aicent MMS Virtual Delivery (MMS-VD) service since its release in September 2005. MMS-VD brings additional MMS interconnection coverage that complements the successful Aicent MMS Gateway Service, which these operators subscribe to. Using Aicent MMS-VD, mobile operators will increase revenues by enabling the MMS delivery and receipt to almost any mobile user anywhere in the world.

“Data services, and in particular MMS services, are becoming new important revenue streams for mobile operators,” said Lynn Liu, President and CEO of Aicent, Inc. “Since the launch of the MMS service, mobile operators have long faced MMS interoperability roadblocks. Aicent MMS-VD, as an addition to the Aicent MMS hub service, maximizes the MMS interoperability coverage, increasing MMS volume and revenues for mobile operators.”

“We were the first mobile operator to bring the benefits of Aicent’s MMS hub and MMS-VD service to our broad customer base,” commented Ove Fredheim, CEO of Pannon GSM Telecommunications Ltd., a Starmap Alliance member operator based in Hungary. “There are more handsets that have MMS capabilities than MMS service subscribers, and many operators around the world are still in early stage to develop MMS interoperability. Aicent MMS-VD provides a universal solution for global mobile operators to improve inter-working that drives MMS volumes and also increase their profits."

MMS-VD is one of the several innovative MMS hub services Aicent recently introduced to the market. Launched in late 2003, Aicent MMS hub has provided an important global infrastructure that allows mobile operators to efficiently establish MMS interworking and exchange MMS traffic. More than 50 mobile operators worldwide, many of them tier-1 carriers, have connected to the Aicent MMS hub platform. As of today, over 600 operator MMS interworking pairs have been established through Aicent MMS hub, and many more are under construction.
